Canyons Village at the gondola base with a heated pool — the 1-BR suite gives the kids a dark bedroom while parents keep the living room, and it's the cheapest to cover on points.
True full kitchens plus in-unit washer/dryer — a big deal with a baby's laundry — right at the base of the mountain and walkable to Main Street.
The most turnkey luxury: ski-in/out at the Frostwood Gondola with a resort pool, hot tubs, and full-kitchen suites — best value paid in cash rather than weak Hilton points.
A whole home means a full kitchen, laundry, and room to spread out. Mid-August (shoulder season) rates drop well below winter. Canyons Village is the sweet spot for little kids — flat, contained, stroller-friendly. 👉 The live shortlist for our exact dates is here.
Both kids ride together in one Thule Chariot double trailer (they're well under its 100-lb limit) while the grown-ups pedal comfort bikes. Everything below is paved or smooth, car-free, and genuinely easy.

First ~2.5 miles out of town are paved and nearly flat (old railroad grade) — meadows, aspens, beaver ponds, zero cars.
Paved creekside path rolling past the iconic McPolin white barn — the postcard photo stop. Morning ride (little shade).
Flat paved 2.3-mile loop around a park with an all-abilities playground and a pond — ride, then play. 10 min from Canyons Village.
Free pump tracks + skills area — toddlers on balance bikes genuinely roll the small track at quiet times. A fun "big kid" moment for our almost-3-year-old.
