🪑 Seating reminder: we bought 3 seats, and the baby rides on a lap. Going out (A320, 3-3): any economy row works — parent, toddler's car seat in the middle, parent. Coming home (A220, 2-3): the cabin is 2-3, so pick the 3-seat side of the aisle — car seat at that window. No exit rows (car seats prohibited), and bring the car-seat FAA sticker faces-out; gate agents look for it. Aircraft can swap — glance at the seat map a week out.

  1. Skip the counter — we're Emerald Club, so no rental agreement stop.
  2. Baggage claim is on Level 1 — the rental car center is directly across in the parking garage, no shuttle (~5 min with the stroller). Take the escalators or elevators down to ground level.
  3. Walk straight to the Emerald Aisle and pick any car — the plan: grab the biggest SUV on the aisle for two car seats + the stroller + five days of gear.
  4. Show the license at the exit gate and go — Park City is ~35 minutes up I-80.

Car-seat game plan

  • Toddler's FAA car seat flies in his airplane seat, then installs in the rental — no extra gear.
  • Baby's car seat checks free at the Delta counter (car seats & strollers fly free).
  • Install both in the garage level before leaving — the Emerald Aisle has room to work.
  • Grocery stop option on the way: Whole Foods at Kimball Junction is right off the Park City exit.
